Summer Garden Challenges Class June 26

Posted on June 19, 2017

Jeff Rieves continues his Successful Gardening Series with a discussion of the challenges of summer gardening in a changing climate.

The Successful Gardener series at the Reynolds Homestead in Critz continues on Monday, June 26 with Jeff Rieves addressing some of the challenges that come with summer in the garden.  The class meets in the Community Enrichment Center from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

The changing climate makes summer gardening more of a challenge.

There are always issues that gardeners face in the summer:  weeds, pests, watering, and according to Rieves, “Every summer is different in the garden. This year we will look at the challenges that face us as gardeners in the changing climate.”

The cost of the class is only $10 per person. To register, contact the Homestead at 276-694-7181 or e-mail
